Holding of the India Seminar on Technical Intern Training Program

On September 28, 2018, with support from Aichi Prefectural Government, the Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry and JITCO, the Embassy of India held the India Seminar on Technical Intern Training Program in Nagoya. The event was very well-attended, with more than 180 people taking part (including the Indian participants).

The speakers at the Seminar included His Excellency Mr. Sujan R. Chinoy, Ambassador of India to Japan, Ms. Patankar, the Additional Secretary, Technical Intern Training Program, at India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), and Mr. Manish Kumar, Managing Director and CEO of India’s National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), as well as representatives of sending organizations and of FUJI, Inc. and Maxell Holdings, Ltd., which received the first batch of Indian technical intern trainees under the Acceptance Supervised by Organization model. In addition, there were speeches given by 12 Indian technical intern trainees, which were very well-received.

The Seminar was followed by a networking and business-matching event, attended by all of the 23 approved sending organizations. Representatives of supervising organizations and implementing organizations with an interest in India were able to engage in a lively exchange of views and information with the sending organizations over a period of two hours.
