Holding of a Presentation to Explain Relevant Programs to Sending Organizations Located in Bangladesh

On June 14, 2019, a presentation to explain relevant programs to sending organizations located in Bangladesh was held at JITCO Headquarters, attended by representatives of around 40 member agencies of the Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA), a sending organization association.

The participating agencies included private-sector sending organizations certified on the basis of the Memorandum of Cooperation relating to technical intern training that was entered into by the governments of Japan and Bangladesh in January 2018 (Bangladesh has begun to allow private-sector agencies to operate as sending organizations for technical intern training).

JITCO explained the key aspects of the relevant programs, focusing in particular on practical issues that sending organizations need to pay attention to, and there was a lively question-and-answer session with the participants.

The Bangladeshi participants appeared to be fully aware of the fact that, while Bangladesh already sends relatively large numbers of its citizens to work overseas, the system in Japan is slightly different from other receiving countries; they expressed their determination to make a proactive effort to send more Bangladeshi workers to Japan, starting with technical intern trainees.
