On May 14, 2019, the Republic of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo held an Uzbekistan Technical Intern Training Forum at JITCO’s head office in Tokyo with backing from JITCO. A total of 118 people from the Japanese and Uzbekistani sides participated in the forum, which included a lecture introducing matters such as the status of Uzbekistan’s preparations for sending technical intern trainees to Japan, as well as a networking time for both countries’ participants to interact. On the same day, JITCO held discussions with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and Ambassador to Japan. The Uzbekistani side reported that it is producing a roadmap for sending technical intern trainees to Japan and indicated that it intends to actively put in place a system with continued support from JITCO. The following day, a study session was held for members of the sending organization visiting Japan. JITCO explained key points and notes about the Technical Intern Training Program.
