On April 11, 2019, Ms. Wang He, Vice-Chairperson of Sino-Japan Trainee Cooperation Organization of China (SJTCOC), and her retinue visited JITCO and held discussions.
JITCO expressed its welcome of the visit by SJTCOC and noted that the acceptance of Chinese technical intern trainees has contributed greatly to the development of bilateral relations between Japan and China. JITCO also explained the current status of the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) and the specified skilled worker program as well as the fact that, as the “general support organization,” JITCO will cooperate with sending country governments and provide support to sending organizations, in order to promote utilization and facilitate the smooth operation of the specified skilled worker program in addition to the TITP.
The Chinese delegation explained that a bilateral agreement on the TITP and specified skilled worker program is under discussion with the Japanese government at present and that systems on the Chinese side are being prepared. The Chinese delegation also thanked JITCO for the support it had given until now for the sending of technical intern trainees to Japan and expressed its expectations for continued support from JITCO.
