“Joint Seminar between Indonesia Sending Organizations and Supervising Organizations” was held in Tokyo on October 21, 2016. It was attended by the Director of Apprenticeship Development Program of Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo and 30 Sending Organizations (68 persons) from the Indonesian side.
From Japanese side, there were 54 Supervising Organizations (80 persons) present. The morning session started with opening address from the President of JITCO, followed by addresses of the Director of Apprenticeship Development Program of MOM and the Minister Counsellor of the Indonesian Embassy. After that, the Executive Vice-President of JITCO provided an explanation of the situation of Indonesian technical intern trainees and the revision of the Technical Intern Training Program. Also, Head of Sub Directorate of Overseas Apprenticeship Development Program of MOM explained its principle and role and the work flow concerning dispatching Indonesian trainees. In addition, the President of AP2LN (Asosiasi Penyelenggara Pemagangan Luar Negeri), which played a coordinating role in this seminar, explained the role of sending organization, characteristics of Indonesian people and religious obligations and customs in Muslim.
In the afternoon, at the site of business matching for sending organizations and supervising organizations, lively meetings were held to exchange information and discuss receiving in the future.
