Joint Seminar Held with Thai Sending Organizations and Supervising Organizations
JITCO held a joint seminar with Thai sending organizations and supervising organizations on November 10, 2017 at Hotel JAL City Tamachi in Tokyo. In attendance from the Thai side were the Director General of Thailand’s Department of Employment (DOE), Ministry of Labour and 81 people from 30 sending organizations, while from Japan there were 77 people from 52 organizations who attended.
The morning portion began with opening remarks from JITCO President Suzuki, followed by remarks from DOE Director General Mr. Anurak Tossarat Then JITCO officials talked about the current status of Thai technical intern trainees and the future of the technical intern training program. In the speech by Thailand’s representative, DOE Inspector Mrs. Ingorn Chuayjuan discussed the DOE’s role and principles, as well as the history of Thailand’s relations with the technical intern training program thus far and their vision for the future.
In the afternoon “business matching” session, sending organizations and supervising organizations conducted meetings one-on-one, and lively meetings took place in the sending organizations’ booths.
