Discussions held with Philippine Government Liaison

On January 31, 2017, JITCO officials paid a courtesy call to Secretary Bello of the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). One day prior, on January 30, they held regular discussions with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
JITCO explained the details of the revisions to Technical Intern Training Program as well as future prospects. JITCO also indicated it would continue providing support aimed at promoting the further spread and smooth use of the program even after its revisions. The Philippine government and JITCO agreed that it is necessary to maintain and strengthen the cooperative relationship they have enjoyed thus far.
