Visit by Mongolia’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection

On October 13 2016, Mongolia’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Mr. Nomtoibayar, paid a visit to JITCO.

A new government was appointed as a result of Mongolia’s parliamentary elections in June of this year and JITCO’s point of contact, the Ministry of Labor, was reorganized into the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

Mr. Nomtoibayar touched upon Japan’s investment into initiatives related to Mongolia’s environmental infrastructure based on a strong relationship of friendship between Mongolia and Japan, and stated that human resource development was a major issue for the realization of this goal. As such, he expressed his hope that the collaboration would continue between the Mongolian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and JITCO so that the Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) may be more effectively utilized and the number of trainees dispatched from Mongolia increased.

JITCO welcomed the new minister and the other members of his envoy and communicated the latest movements regarding amendments to the TITP.
