Periodic Talks Held with the Employment Policy Promotion and Adjustment Bureau of the Mongolian Ministry of Labor (MOL)

Periodic talks were held with a delegation from Mongolia, including the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and Labor, on July 3, 2013 during a visit to Japan.
The MOL delegation explained that Japan is the second most common destination, after South Korea, for personnel dispatched overseas. The delegation indicated that the government will be placing particular emphasis on infrastructure development in the future and that it wishes to send large numbers of technical intern trainees to Japan, particularly in construction fields.
JITCO suggested that if there are any positive examples of technical intern trainees who returned to Mongolia in construction or other fields, more Japanese supervising organizations and implementing organizations will become interested in accepting trainees from Mongolia and requested that they provide information about any such technical intern trainees. JITCO also pointed out that it is important for the sending organization to open an office in Japan and to develop structures such as increasing personnel who can speak Japanese. JITCO provided up-to-date information regarding rising interest in accepting technical intern trainees from Mongolia by Japanese supervising organizations.
The delegation from the MOL explained about recent developments regarding accreditation of sending organizations, and after the delegation returned to Mongolia, it was reported that the most recent detailed information on sending organizations would be sent.
