On February 4, 2016, JITCO paid a courtesy call to Ms. Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz, Secretary of the Republic of the Philippines Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and, on the following day, engaged in regular discussions with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
JITCO explained about the status of revisions to Technical Intern Training Program, Filipino technical intern trainees and so on, while POEA gave an explanation regarding initiatives to expedite the screen process within POEA in order to strengthen their ability to send trainees.
On the same day, the Seminar for Sending Organizations was held, with the POEA Administrator, Mr. Hans Leo J. Cacdac, and other concerned POEA members in attendance. 42 people from 34 sending organizations participated in this seminar, during which JITCO gave explanations regarding the receiving of technical intern trainees from the Philippines, points of caution, the status of revisions to Technical Intern Training Program and so on.
