Discussions held with Cambodian Government Liaison (November 2015)

On November 27th, 2015, JITCO engaged in discussions with Cambodia’s Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT).
JITCO explained about the status of revisions to Technical Intern Training Program, the situation of Cambodian technical intern trainees and so on.
MLVT made requests to JITCO regarding the support they would like to receive in order to strengthen sending of technical intern trainees to Japan in the future. JITCO replied that it would like to continue providing support for Cambodia.
On the same day, the seminar for sending organizations was held, with participation by MLVT staff and 45 people from 45 sending organizations. In this seminar, JITCO gave explanations regarding the status of technical intern trainees being sent from Cambodia, points of caution, the status of revisions of Technical Intern Training Program and so on.
On November 28th, JITCO visited two accredited sending organizations, held interviews and observed pre-dispatch training facilities, etc.
