Conclusion of a Memorandum of Cooperation (Bilateral Agreement) Regarding Specified Skilled Workers between the Governments of Japan and India

On January 18, 2021, the government of Japan concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation (bilateral agreement) with the government of India regarding specified skilled workers. The Memorandum of Cooperation provides a basic framework for information sharing and consultation to ensure the smooth and proper sending and acceptance of overseas specified skilled workers and the resolution of problems that overseas specified skilled workers might experience while working in Japan. We will provide further information regarding detailed procedures, flow-charts, etc. once they have been formally announced.
