Regular Consultations with Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Socialist Republic of Vietnam
On December 22, 2016, the Vietnamese Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung, visited JITCO for regular consultations.
JITCO conveyed our welcome for the minister’s visit and expressed the increase in acceptance of technical intern trainees from Vietnam had contributed greatly to the development of relations between Japan and Vietnam. JITCO explained that even after the revision of the Technical Intern Training Program, it would continue to play a role as a “Comprehensive Support Organization” through cooperating with sending government and providing support to sending organizations in order to promote the utilization of the Technical Intern Training Program. In addition, JITCO further made a request to continue the development of cooperative relationship between both sides.
From the Vietnamese side, the Minister thanked JITCO for its cooperation and support thus far in the sending of technical intern trainees to Japan. It also kindly requested JITCO’s continued support to move forward. He also mentioned that the government of Vietnam made an effort to promote sending technical intern trainees in the field of nursing care.

In addition, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan hosted a networking event with the minister at the embassy in Tokyo, with attendance by supervising organizations and sending organizations, etc. Then, the minister explained the current policies and challenges in Vietnam, and attendees from the Japanese side asked questions and exchanged views relating to the acceptance of Vietnamese technical intern trainees.
