First Technical Intern Trainees from INDIA entered Japan (Supervising Organization Type).

As the first batch of Supervising Organization Type trainee from India, 12 Indian youths entered Japan on July 17th. A welcome event was held on 19th and the Consul General of India (Osaka-Kobe), Mr. T. Armstrong Changsan made an encouraging speech. Each of trainees introduced themselves in Japanese, one of them expressing his hopes and enthusiasm as “a bridge between Japan and India.” The 12 trainees are going to take post-entry lectures and then be placed into their implementing companies.

Having a long-time friendship with Japan, India, who also introduced Japanese bullet trains recently, has been eagerly working on Japanese Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) with help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been promoting Indian manufacturing industry under the slogans of “Make in India” and “Skill India.” Moreover, 23 accredited Sending Organizations are passionately working on expansion of Japanese language and vocational training courses as well as preparation for dispatch of trainees of not only manufacture but also care-giving. Taking into account of the large population, the anticipation is rising for growth of the number of Indian trainees in the near future.

JITCO will keep updating coming news on TITP from India. With kind support of the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, JITCO is planning seminars on India and also going to support dispatch and acceptance of Indian trainees.
