The first KII Speech Contest

On July 24, 2010, speech contest hosted by Kanto Information Industry Cooperative was held at Shinjuku Washington Hotel.

Since this was the memorable first contest, all of the staff, contestants, and people from supporting company seemed filled with the tension by the time contest starts. Many trainees and technical intern trainees applied for this contest, and 16 people was selected from them to participate in the contest.

Some technical intern trainees had just came to Japan a year ago, and some were about to leave. All the contestants were well prepared and most of their speeches were interesting. They were giving their speech confidently with a natural gesture.

Contestants were speaking fluent Japanese with a dignified gesture, not only in speech but also in host's sudden question. Also, the floor was packed in the joyful atmosphere because the answer to the question was smart and drew laughter from the audience.

Each contestants differ in the time spent in Japan, working environment, and learning style, but they have something in common. They all have strong will and stepping up efforts every day. Everyone at the floor, including the judges and the audiences, were touched by their progress.

While waiting for the result, the program move on to the convivial party. All contestants were trying to take communication with many people in a positive manner, so the party was very pleasing and meaningful.

Every contestant, both the prize-winners and the others, seemed satisfied. This kind of event will become a tool not only to show their progress in Japanese, but also to build their self-confidence to express themselves better.

All staff are wishing for their success in both Japan and Viet Nam for even greater success in future.
