Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (JITCO)



On January 12, 2009, JITCO officials had an annual consultation meeting with Mr. Masri Hasyar, the Director General of Training and Productivity Development, Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration (MOM&T) of Indonesia.


JITCO ascertained the intention of MOM&T to strengthen the relationship between the two parties, which was requested by the Minister, H. E. Erman Suparno, during his visit to Japan in September 2008. Also, JITCO explained the measures against influences of the financial crisis and the revision of the training program currently underway in Japan.


In reply, MOM&T mentioned that the Minister highly appraised the training system and expected to enhance the cooperation between the two parties.  MOM&T requested that a joint seminar be held in either Indonesia or Japan, and that actions be taken to avoid trainees coming back halfway through the training due to the financial crisis by providing substitute companies.


In conclusion, it was decided that officials from both sides determine the date, modality and other details for a joint seminar, and that ideas to strengthen the tie between JITCO and MOM&T be continuously developed at the seminar and other occasions.
