The 15th Annual Japanese Essay Contest Award Ceremony

On October 2, 2007, the award ceremony for the Japanese Essay Contest for International Trainees and Technical Interns was held as a part of the JITCO Convention.

Certificates and prize money were handed to the recipients of the Outstanding Achievements, the Awards of Excellence, and Commendable Works. Four Outstanding Achievement winners presented their essays on stage. The audience was impressed with the confidence of the speakers who entertained with their friendly introductions.

The award ceremony allowed us a glimpse of the trainees' and interns' hard work in training and daily living as demonstrated through the prowess of their Japanese.

JITCO compiled 62 selected works, including the winners above, and distributed the Compilation of Outstanding Works to all applicants and supporting members. Outstanding Achievements and Awards of Excellence can be found through the list of winners. We hope you enjoy reading them!


Applications for this year begin in April 2008. Please refer to Journal 'Kakehashi' and our webpage bulletin for information on the 16th Annual Japanese Essay Contest. We are looking forward to receiving enthusiastic submissions from the trainees and technical interns!
