
The 13th Japanese Essay Contest Award Ceremony
October 2005JITCO's International Convention was held on Wednesday, October 5th, 2005. The program featured the Japanese Essay Contest Award Ceremony for international trainees and technical interns. Out of 1724 works submitted, 28 passed the strict review process to receive awards. Four won Outstanding Achievement, six won Awards for Excellence, and eighteen submissions were awarded Commendable. The award winners received certificates of cash prizes. The Outstanding Achievement award winners presented their own work. The audience was moved by the candid tales of foreign living experiences whilst in Japan.

JITCO compiled sixty-two selected works, including the winners above, and distributed the Compilation of Outstanding Works to all applicants and supporting members. Outstanding Achievement and Awards of Excellence can be found through in the list below. We hope you enjoy reading them!
We are planning this contest again for next year. Applications for this year began around April 2006. Please refer to our newsletter 'Kakehashi' and/or our webpage bulletin for information on the 14th Annual Japanese Essay Contest. We are looking forward to receiving enthusiastic submissions from the trainees and technical interns!
