
Promoting Learned Skills Evaluation
The purpose of the technical internship program is to contribute to developing countries through the transfer of skills and techniques, thereby strengthening the economic and industrial development in those countries. Workers will acquire skills, techniques and knowledge in a practical, business-like context by entering the program, which also aims to be character building.
In order to maximize the program's effectiveness, it is essential that the evaluation of learned skills be emphasized. When entering the technical internship program, interns are only required to take Grade Two (Basic) on the National Trade Skills Test. However, taking Grade One (Basic) or a more advanced examination would result in a more comprehensive inventory of interns' aptitudes.
JITCO awards financial incentives to encourage accepting organizations and technical interns to actively challenge themselves to take the Grade One (Basic) National Trade Skills Test or above.
Individuals who have passed selected examinations will receive financial incentives. The examinations and the amount of the incentives are listed below.
