Support System and Financial Aid for Accepting Organizations

JITCO's Assistance and Support for Accepting Organizations

Textbook Development Support Project for International Trainees

March 2007
Japan International Training Cooperation Organization

1.Purpose

In order for international trainees and technical interns to acquire technical skills and knowledge in specialist fields in Japan, it is crucial that texts are clear and easy to understand. JITCO has designed, developed and published various model textbooks since it began operations.

Ideally, textbooks should be developed by the Accepting Organizations and utilized on site. Textbook development requires many resources, including an extensive knowledge of procedures, a wide collection of skills and personnel, and also printing expenses. Recently, there has been a tendency for training to be tailored to individual organizations' needs, and also for particular occupational circumstances. Understanding these new trends, JITCO has moved to provide partial reimbursement of expenses incurred through textbook development.
